Re: Fishing For Carp Tirley Court

Hi. Saw your report on Tirley Court and I am planning on fishing this quite a lot this year.

I only got back into fishing last year and managed quite alot of carp including 5 doubles upto 15lb at Harescombe and at Frampton but I am definitely learning as I go but loving the experience.

Tirley Court has been recommended so was interested in your report.

I know they operate a no boilie rule so was intrigued by the bait you used.

What are Solar Wedges?

I will be doing most of my fishing mid week. Does it tend to get very busy?

Regards
Nick

Re: Fishing For Carp Tirley Court

Hi mate solar wedges are soft wedge shaped bait , and the best time to fish here is during the week as it can get very busy during the weekends . Oh you must have a mat and dip your gear before fishing . Might see you there

Re: Fishing For Carp Tirley Court

Thanks for your reply. I notice you are in Gloucestershire. Im on the outskirts of the city. Whereabouts are you?

Do you fish Tirley quite alot?

What other baits work well there? (Where do you get your wedges from?)

Are boilies the only banned bait?

Ive been told that the lady that runs it is a bit of a stickler for her rules so I dont want to get on the wrong side of her!

Anyway hope you dont mind the questions.

Sure I will have some more!

Kind regards
Nick

I live just out side gloucester

Fished it about 4 times last year and normal got 5- 10 carp a visit from 8 - 15lb

Bread on the surface soft halibit pellets and found hemp seed in a PVA bag got the carps heads down

No there are other but cannot remeber

It quite a strict water to fish and the woman who runs it will throw people off if the rules are not followed. She ok but treats the water like gold dust which is good in the long run as the carp are in great condition

No mate that what the forums about - we should try and meet up there one day and have a fish

Sure I will have some more!

Kind regards
Nick

Re: Fishing For Carp Tirley Court

Just a quick question.

Where do you get your supplies of Solar Wedges from as I am having trouble finding anybody that stock them locally.

I popped over to Tirley Court just for a look this morning. Wished Id had my gear with me as looked like it was going to be a lovely day and only a couple of guys on the lake.

Kind regards
Nick
