Carp On The Fly

Hi, I am going carp fishing on Sat and i want to use my fly rod. Can someone please give me some tips as to what to put on the hook.

on my local match lake the guys use their fly gear for surface fishing,i saw a guy last summer putting out a handful of dog biscuits and then using a piece of cork shaped like a dog biscuit on the hook,he caught a couple while i was ther,all i can say is that it looks great fun

well apparently if you make a fly thats basicaly a big bit of fluff like bread that floats and chuck some free bread out to get them feeding you catch more than with bread as a bait because you doont have to keep worrying about it coming off the hook

Thanks for the tip about the bread imitation on the fly rod. I will try it out and if i can get the right material i think it will be a killer. If you pardon the pun !
