Titchfield Carp Lake

Hello all,
Justin invited me in going carp fishing with him too a carp lake in titchfield, having not a clue on all of this carp fishing tackle justin showed me how too use a hair rig let me use his carp rods and reels and baits. (thank you) this was the view of the lake...

so i had one rod out close in, and one rod a bit further. Justin was getting a few nibbles but they where only sniffing the bait. i didnt have a bite for quite a while till when i heard the bait alarm go off it was only a shy take i let it gobble the bait up striked and i was connected too somthing big. my arm was aching just trying too reel in this fish, eventually after a good scrap i saw the fish on the surface i was shocked too see a fish that size! justin netted it for me. and i now have a new pb and my first ever double figure fish ... (points for me)

it weighed 14lb 4oz, i was so chuffed i couldnt even put it in words too describe it lol, it swam back unharmed. so after my carp the weather conditions werent very good... Justins alarm was going off it was pulling his drag a bit too it looked a very good fight at first i thaught it was a carp but it was a tench (points for him too)

well done, so the weather and wind realy wasnt good we didnt have any bites for a while till justins rod had somthing big on, by the look of the fight it looked a bit bigger than mine. i netted it and we weighed it. 16lb 2oz...

well done justin!, so after that the weather was constantly on and off with the rain, we tried different baits different places too cast but still not a fish in sight. but when i put my rod down i forgot too put my baitrunner on... i had a little look at the stream behind us (the only time i didnt look at my rod) and suddenly my rod was going off and the alarm went. justin ran too get the rod as i left the drag off it would of fell in if he didnt get it. typical though the only minuite i wasnt watching my rods and i get a fish lol, this one was a better fighter and it realy wanted too ache my arm. this one weighing a bit more. 15lb 4oz

well we fished till 3:30, justin had lost a fish whilst reeling it in (unlucky, it looked big) i had alot of takes but we didnt have any more fish. well i would say that was the best day fishing i have ever had and i had my first double figure fish too... well justin you have got me hooked on this carp fishing im already making my own hair rigs lol, cant wait too go again.

dan.

Re: Titchfield Carp Lake

Super well done Coach and Justin , some cracking common there.

Chuffed to bit for you Dan, looks like you have now turned to the dark side of bivvies and boilies and there is no stopping you now.

Well done Dan
