| Re: Carp Fishing on Rivers I think a few days prebaiting is the secret. I've been thinking about doing the same on the Kennet & Avon Canal. |

| Re: Carp Fishing on Rivers I believe there's carp along the full length. A lot more elusive than stillwater fish though. |

| Re: Carp Fishing on Rivers What I can gather is margins are good and if you know any barble anglers then they normally run into a few carp. Suppose the tactic are going to be the same but deff us braid as mainline __________________ Richard Fishing Tackle | Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: Carp Fishing on Rivers I agree, the margins are definitely best. Whenever they jump out of the water they are nearly always tight to one bank or other. I catch them on the Adur using a heavy feeder full of Stim Swim and either breadflake, bunches of maggots or luncheon meat. I fish with the rod pointing straight out and the feeder at right angles downstream. I have the feeder set up as a bolt rig so the carp hook themselves. The bream don't seem to come in that close so when you get a take you know its a carp and time to hang on!! |
