The Carp Chase!

Hello Everyone, I just got back today from a little Carp Fishing, I got my own pond, So I thought, I got Carp in there? why not spear em'? Yes, well I went Carp fishing out at my pond, I was out there for about an hour throwing in boilies around the pond.. threw in some bread, still no luck? so... I went inside for awhile (sure enough I was gettin' tired of it) but I thought IM NOT DONE!!! I go outside, Carp were feeding like crazy.. sittin' at the top feeding like no other, im like what the heck? so I go out there with my spear.. I got two of them .. I didn't weigh them, but I got an estimate of about 5 and 20 pounds.. HERES THE KICKER! IT'S A GHOST CARP! Heres a picture of my pond, and the two carp...

POND!-

5 Pound Carp-

20 Pound Carp-

Did I read this right? You actually went after them with a spear? or am I just missing something?
I take it they are classed as vermin over there then? That Ghost Carp would be worth hundreds if not thousands over here!

Re: The Carp Chase!

Lol, MAYBE.. But I have an over-populated pond, where you can see the fish just when you go look at the pond, but thank you.

I'm afraid so biggun, very few people actually eat them outside of the south. I think there's only 1 restaurant in Omaha, that even serves it...
