good start to my carp

well i went to another local near my mums house for my first carp bash this year. so i got my gear ready just the one float rod. i fished all light tackle as i always do but any way i got there at 6.30 pm tonight. and then i setup with a drennan float off 2bb and size 12 hook and 2lb line lol. i know what you all thinking. so then got the bait on top secret bait lol :) so got the float out and waited it was abit slow and cold and you could surf on this water . but i got my first bite and missed it dam i went. but out it went again and then got a lifting bite so i hit it and got it it was not big lol a skimmer.

so then out the bait go again and waited for a bite so then put some loose feed out then started to see some bubbles :). and then the float just shot under so i hit it and i was on and it went like a bullet. lucky drag was set if not it would off bust me. so after playing it in for about 10 mins it finaly gave up a nice carp so got the scales out 5lb 7oz

so then put him back in and just said to my self just what i came for :). so then put some more bait on and out it went again but i got a quick bite on the drop. so i hit it and that went like a bullet good job i set the drag so after playing it for like 20mins. it was giveing me sore arms it ws tireing me out. but it gave up in the end i said what a nice carp so got the scales out for that 8lb 14oz

so then got her back in the water. and got some more bait on again and out it went again waiting for another carp hope. then put some for loose feed out but took about 20 mins to get another bite. it was getting slow for bites but it went so i hit into to it and. another go like a bullet it went nice hard fighting fish i thought. but this gave up after about 6 mins and another carp off 4lb 5oz

so then after that it was time to pack up i was freezeing. it was like winter down there but caught what i was after and happy session again
