That will spook any Carp PDQ.
Feed them up with real bait to get them confidently feeding then cast your bait to the same area but not in the middle of them or just to one side. Try not to line them i.e. your floating line hits the water hard right over the top of them. Use a floating line and degreased leader.....oh and if you hook one......HANG ON!

Best of Luck.

Re: Carp Fly Fishing?

\i had my first ever carp on a fly rod. It was caught, on a pink dog nobbler, fromt e Lake at Bayham Abbey in Kent. Fantastic fight, on a 5-6 weight fly rod. Just a few weeks ago I treated myself to a new fly rod, an heavy 7-8 weight for pike and perch on the river frome, plus a pike trip or two to chew.
Make sure the biscuits are secure on the hook, as the whip lash might cause them to fly off, most frustrating. I'm sure I've seen carp taking fry, so try something like a silver darter, or white streamer.
Good Luck
