Pop up baits

i have been using this method for a while on a ledger road it consists of a 10 inch hooklength which is encased in a light layer of lead. the lead layer can be striped back to expose a braided inner. You can hten attach the hook to this section and the hook is free to move. With a pop up bait this will sit of the bottom by what ever distance you set.

i Have found that this is the best used with a pva bag. The contens sit on the ground and the hook bait will sit up. This is the first bait the carp will see.
