I've been using boiles for the past couple of seasons with not too much luck. One of the guys on a gravel pit was saying he's been using soaked and boiled Brazil nuts on the hook with various particle baits loose fed. He was taking several fish per session all upwards of 20lb. What's the best way to prepare and use these nuts?

Re: Brazil Nuts as hookbait These are good if you're using on the hook, but get a bit pricey if your feeding a lot of them... http://www.ccmoore.com/intense-brazil-nuts-p-297.html __________________ www.thecarpden.co.uk

Re: Brazil Nuts as hookbait They can be a killer hook bait .present them on a hair with a bit of cork . then shave a few down and place in a bag with a bit of salt

Re: Brazil Nuts as hookbait Well, it's 6:30am and i've been sat in this bivvy since friday morning without a single run on the brazils. Back to the drawing board if nothing happens in the next few hours.

Re: Brazil Nuts as hookbait Someone up the bank had 7 in the weekend on his own bait. Don't know what he's putting in there. Considering it's so cold they been fishing well so I hear. Guy opposite had 2. The pike were flying out. My mate had 6. I had one pike and lost two just having an hour on them to break the day up a bit as the carp weren't having any of my baits. Perhaps I needed some chocolate brazils as Lee says. Not giving up on the Brazils just yet though.
