| Re: Winter fishing for carp Quote:
by bomb I mean a small bomb Arseley ( small ledger weight with a swivel) use the lightest bomb you can get away with. cast to the likely looking areas, leave for ten minutes and then cast to another area until you get a bite or indications such as line bites. do not put any feed in until you have located the Carp and them trickle some freebies in but be tight with the feed. feed after every fish or bite. Good luck Darrell |

| Re: Winter fishing for carp i tried something new on thursday. i went to the local supermaaket a got a bottle of strawberry flavoring for cakes and stuff. i soaked for 2 days a large bag of strawberry boilies in it. ie half a bottle of it, all the bolilies in a carrier bag and seal it ti sweat. i put a couple of handfuls out and had one on a hairrig with a yellow pop up boilie and had a mirroe carp within 20 minutes...it was taken very confidently.. seems like a good bait to me and will try again next week, you need to be very patient and leave ya rods out, every now and again plop out one or 2 boilies to draw the fish to the area. ![]() __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost. |
