Groundbait

Hi, I bought breadcrumbs and im wondering what I can add too it? Can I add chilli powder and sweetcorn? This is my first time groundbaiting as the other lake did not allow it. My other question is should I use it at all or should i stick with loosefeed? Cheers

Re: Groundbait

You cab add almost everything to bread crumb. Chilli powder sweetcorn hemp tuna. I would ball up a few balls tight and throw them where you will be fishing let them break down and add a couple more then cast your rig out straight away. The little fish will hreak the ball down and the carp will move in on the disturbance. Just remember that this time of year carp might not be eating as much so walk around and try to see what quanties if bait people have.

If all depends on the waters you fish. While sweetcorn is a great and often overlooked bait, if your waters contain alot of bream and tench then you could be hammered by them. Personally i've never used groundbait for carp, never seen the need to. What are your reasons for wanting to use groundbait fella?
