Tiger Nuts..

I am preparing tiger nuts at the moment. I have soaked them for at least 24 hours, boiled for 35/40 mins. I then emptied the nuts and the water they were boiled in, into a container. The water covered the nuts, and was about 1 inch over the nuts.
I have left them for 5/6 days now, and theyhave started to ferment. How long before the liquid changes to the sticky goo ? I just wondered if I had left too much liquid in with the nuts, as it is still very runny, and whether I was just meant to barely cover the nuts with the liquid.

Re: Tiger Nuts..

Thanks for the tips lads. I did have a lid on the containter - but its not exactly air tight. Will try less liquid next time, add some sugar, and make sure good lid on the tub.
