No mate ,It is a cheap base mix but has caught loads of fish over the years ,
Make a few pop ups out of it as well by putting a small cork ball or polly balls in it before you boil it I never add colour to it as it gives a washed out look .you could also add a small amount of cod liver oil to it when adding your eggsabout 5ml..
you can bulk it out if you want by adding these


50/50 base mix reciepe
6oz Semolina
4oz Soya Flour
2oz Milk powder
2oz Ground rice

Here's a recipie I use for making boilies.

1 kilo of trigger base mix.
10 eggs.
5ml of caviar flavour.
5ml of salmon elite flavour.
10 drops of n-butric acid.
10ml per egg of trigger liquid.

Mix in the usual way but don't boil them for two long, 2 mins is more than enough time in my opinion.

many thanks for the recipe i only make 16oz at a time end up with 2 many boilies other wise so where can i get trigger base mix

Morning Falcon, you can get Trigger base mix from any good bait stockists, its a little expnsive but cetainly worth paying that bit extra, have a look at this link your sure to get some from there.

Hi falcon, wouldn't like to say without getting the calculator out, you'd be better off making a kilo and freeze the ones your not using.
