Shelf Life for flavours?

Does anyone know how long bottles of flavours will keep for, or can be used. I plan on making somepastes, and have several bottles in a cupboard, some of which have not been used for some years. They are all Richworth, have been kept in the dark in tightly sealed bottles.
I have asked a couple of local tackle dealers, one said, 'I don't know, to be honest', the other; 'you need to buy fresh each season', then tried to sell me some, but I am not sure that I need to replace every year?
Any Ideas?
