squid jigging ??????????

hi all
iv read a few articals on catching squid around the south coast and was on the scrounge for some local info on the where abouts, times and tactics that have worked in the solent area.
iv had a couple by accident on the mid channel wrecks and very tasty too.
but i would like to have ago at them now , if the weather lets me get out again
any help would be great

iv heard reports of charter trips going out from weymouth for squid, but cant find much out about around the solent

Try for them later in the year John, may onwards, night time is best.
In the west country most tackle shops have squid lures for sale, if it gets to aug/sept chances are it'll be cuttle in this area.

im going down cornwall in may so il have look around,
you say about cuttle , iv had quite a few in the solent in may time . but iv only ever had squid out realy deep on wrecks so fingers crossed il get some this year

yes and thay are very nice too, try breaded or batterd squid rings next time your in a pub , thay are normaly a starter
