Hi John, I don't fish in the solent, out of pompey turn right,left or straight on when we're clear of Bembridge Ledge, water depth is 100' to 200' (at 250' we give up) sorry if I've misread your post,

nothink to be sorry about, all help greatfully recived.

just i know that the are squid around hear , well thay have to be . iv found them in cod (big buggers too) and iv heard of people getting them on bait intended for cod, iv also found out that some of the weymouth boats are doing evening trips in autum for them and we are only 50 mile along the coast, so it seem like its all in place to catch them, but where???..............................no one will say if thay do know............................. maybe its cos it there cod marks as well and we all know how much people keep cod marks quite (secret squiral and all that )
cuckoo has sent me a great site based in oz, and and the are a couple of fellas in cornwall on there trying to learn how and where thay hang around from the site, so i hope to learn from them too. but this still leave me with where around hear????????? might just try pot luck and see what happens
