ASSEMBLING NOW - The Forum Boat Crew

Hello again Guys and Gals.

Following the successful gathering of sea-angling bods for the July 11th trip, my next mission is as follows:

TO ASSEMBLE A CREW OF 8 TO FISH IN BOAT LEAGUE

From: Portsmouth/Gosport/Solent
When: All year 1-2 times per month
Experience needed: NONE - we are all learning all the time
Cost: To be negotiated
Fish: Everything
Fun: Loads
Beer: Of course

3 or 4 forum members are already down for the crew. We need another 3-4 reliable people who are able to commit to the team and fish the dates we arrange. The dates will be agreed between us to accomodate everyone. We will also be looking at going on 3-4 day wrecking trips, channel islands etc as well as other events.

Gus Angus has offered his help (as always) to get us started up with all the administrative stuff and I am more than happy to do all the organising/boat negotiations/paperwork/reporting etc. Please reply or PM me if up for it or any questions or ideas etc.

i would like to but im not sure if i could aford it or be able to comite to it very well and i have no idear about boat fishing (until the 1st) and i have non of the equipment, and i think if the team was to enter a fishing comp i would definatly impare the cahnces of catching fish and be like a handi cap towards our team:S
the main prob is the money and comitment but i would be interested depending on the outsome of the trip on the 1st
do you know what the prices are likely to be??:S

So we are half way there - all we need are another 4 reliable bods and I have 2 in mind, who I will discuss it with soon. When someone can't make it for one of the trips, there will be a couple of people on the reserve list who will be offered a place. Thanks John M and Gus Angus for your help, hopefully you will come out with us from time to time as well.

Ben, cost will be around £30-£50 per trip, hopefully average £40.

seem like quite resnable prices, i might be up for it but i will have to see
all depends how the 1st goes and also if you want me in the team

i think i could definatly be up for the team as long as there is some1 willing to help me do most things, will i need my own tackel, oveously i would need my own end gear but i mean rod/reel straight away or do most skippers have 1s availible to borrow

mer and my old man may be interested but could you let me know what days this would involve - Im quite committed with a hockey team but was considering doing more winter fishing this year ? What are we talking about ?

Sundays Tommy, once or twice a month. Dates will be determined by the best tides so that we get the best fishing possible.
