Looking to buy a new boat for charter

Im looking to buy a new or newish 2003+ charter boat, 36 to 42ft, cruising speed at least 20 knots, max speed 27knots+, COP cat 2, for offsore wreck fishing south west

Would appreciate both skippers and anglers opinions, any recommendations?

Re: Looking to buy a new boat for charter

Hi,

First and foremost, are you a registered operator or are you just thinking about buying a boat and taking a few punters out approx. 60 miles wreck fishing?

There are a lot of questions that I would answered before I paid my money and went fishing with someone like yourself.

I agree that we all have to learn but to just buy a boat and ask people to to pay for a day out without knowing who they are going out with is entirely a different thing.

You will have to convince me and I am sure quite a lot of other people on this and the other forum that you have posted on that you are fully quallified as a charter skipper.

I await your reply.

Regards

Drew

Re: Looking to buy a new boat for charter

Hi Charter Skipper, both mono & dual hulls have their advantages / disadvantages etc so we're still considering both types.

The boats that we've given serious consideration are as follows:

(mono hull)
. Venom
. Evolution
. Procharter

(dual hull)
. Port Issac
. South Boats
. Blythe

Thumbs up Re: Looking to buy a new boat for charter

Don't know much about boats, but i've been out on Colin Pennys boat Flamer from weymouth, which is an Evolution. Definately the most impressive charter boat that i've been on.

Ye the Evolution 38 is one of my favourite boats, very fast, rough sea ability is amazing, essential for offshore trips, the Venom 38 should be just as good, maybe better?
