| Re: 300kg Blue Marlin Sorry Jules, this is Portugal, and everything is eaten here even Sparrows. There was another Blue Marlin caught a couple of weeks before the 300kgs one that went 288kgs. Consevation etc is not in the Portuguese dictionary!!! ![]() Dave __________________ www.portugalfishing.co.uk |

| Re: 300kg Blue Marlin What a dreadful shame. I used to catch marlin when I lived in Mexico and even there we released every fish. Only ever had one as big as 300kg and it nearly killed me getting it in...I'm only 9 1/2 stone! Still after my 1st tarpon, been to africa twice after them but not landed one yet, hooked them but they've got a mouth made, I think , of stainless steel!!! Cheers Jules __________________ born to fish....forced to work |
