boat fishing!

all right chaps going out on my mates dingy this weekend!
we have all the relavant bits of safty equipment pfd,s flares, and radio but we havnt got a depth finder and dont know any reliable marks so
its going to be a case of chucking and chancing it!
my guess it will me mostly sand with bits of broken ground!
(only heading a mile or so off worthing) and ar gana start by fishing the end of an out fall pipe (about 1/2 a mile out)
its all very experimental!
thinking of just taking a carp rod with a little abu!
any ideas on terminal tackle? bait?
my guess will be that the main species will be flattys, wrasse, bass and maybe a smoothy if were lucky!

Using light gear is the way to go ( but that depends on the tide as if you have to use a 1lb lead you will have to go bigger for sure )

flattys, wrasse, bass

Light gear the same as from the shore but if the smoothies are about 40lb leader oor you could be in trouble

ive got 50lb shockleader on it (just couildnt be ased to change it)
so that shouid do it, think it will be a propper larf,
just a dingy and sazuki he picked up fo 500 squid, and an old radio ive botched together! mobys in sealed jiffy bags and flares in a biscuit tin!
so we ar away me hartys, ARRRRRH!!
