General Advice

Hi guys,

As a novice I am wanting to make some of my own end tackle for use with baits and need some advice on suitable rigs.

Mostly I find all the talk about using 100lb line a bit confusing as it is almost impossible to put a not in it. Any suggested book would also help.

Happy hooking

Phil

Hi Phil,
100lb plus mono is only for conger and ling and use crimps rather than tie, they should be on sale where you buy the line. If you're wrecking for cod or pollock amneasia 18.2 kg is fine, you'll get away with 20lb trace on pollock
As for knots use the search box forum admin put a link to an animated????
site.

John
