Question New boat rod

I need a new boat rod (well i don't but i want one anyway)

I am looking at 3 rods at the moment. Can you advise which is better? I require them to have detachable butts which i think these ones do.

Fladden Maximus 12lb
Ugly Stik Elite 1482 15lb
Ugly Stik Gold 1478 12-15lb

Re: New boat rod

I would definitely go for the Ugly stick Elite or Gold.

They are top rods for the cash

Re: New boat rod

The best all round I have found for boat fishing is the Diawa TDX 20-50 sensitive tip with plenty of omphh!!!! in the butt.good for wrecking and bottom fishing also recommended by Jim Whippy Editor BOAT FISHING Mag.

Re: New boat rod

The reason i picked these rods are for their prices. I am not able to go out and spend the sort of money on the rod i would like to (Pen Tidecutter). So i have bugeted for these rods and this is why i asked which one would be better. also i have picked this class weight oif rod as i already have a 20-50lb class rod.

Re: New boat rod

i just been in fishin shop and seen the RT carbostick

you can get 1 butt and 2 tips (12lb and 30lb class) for £80 so i think thats a great deal seems its £60-70 for 1 of them
