Cardiff marks.

Hi all,
I`ve been having boat trouble and she has been in `dry dock` for about 3 weeks now and i`m fast becoming a landlubber again. I`ve just had her back and i`m now itching to get after some Cod (probably next Sunday). It seems that everywhere I go people are saying "you should be out there now there are loads of Cod out there". I`ve been going mad with frustration.....AAArghh. I`m not after a 12 figure GPS location but can anyone please point me just in the general direction. ie out of the lock and turn left, straight on, Ranny, Sully..........Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Cardiff marks.

We were out Friday night into Saturday morning, fished very well on the ebb at two randomly picked marks but on the flood fishing died off. There will be few people who will give precise marks but if you head out to water around 35-45ft at high tide look for some nice looking bottom features on your sounder, try zigzagging over different places until you find an area that looks interesting, you will eventually find a few holes or banks that will be holding fish, we have managed over the last year to find some very good marks. There are two dreddgers working the channel at the moment, and fishing died off as they started work towards the foreshore so I would recommend you stay clear of them. The other thing you could try is to see where other boats are fishing and anchor at a safe distance behind them. Good luck anyway and we may see you out there.
