Re: beginner

Hi Orange lad, welcome to the forum. The forum has a sister site, http://seafishingonline.com click on the charter boat link on the left hand side and it gives you a list of charter boats geographically. Costs vary and it's up to you how many people you want to go on the trip (up to the max for the boat). It generally costs £30-40 per person but will obviously be more expensive if you have fewer people. Some skippers include equipment hire in the price, some charge extra, usually £5 - £10 and the skipper can usually supply bait on request. If you organise a trip and are short on numbers let the forum know by posting a thread and I'm quite sure there will be some takers. Or, you can post a thread and ask members which dates they can do. If you tell us where you are located, Richard who runs the forum, and other members may be able to reccommend skippers and give you contact numbers. Anyway, hope this gives you something to help on the way. Let us know where you are based :)

Also, I'm going to organise a trip in July and post it on the forum, so keep your eye on the forum for more info....

Cheers

Re: beginner

hi orange lad
Boat fishing is the best fun you can have, at all ,ever. Charter boats vary enormously in friendliness and catch rates. Very much advise you to go for reccomendation from other forum users who have had good trips and know the good boats.
If you don't get what you want you can always join my sea angling club as we organise trips every couple of weeks and are not too far from you. The tor sea angling club meets in Somerton every 3rd monday of the month at the Globe inn at 8pm. We also have beach and small boat owner sections. Very informal and a good laugh is had by all but we do catch fish (most of the time).
Good luck
Regards Jules
