Saturday 1st October - Jo-Dan Boat Trip

Well, the next forum arranged trip is on Saturday thanks to John Marshall's organising skills Hopefully the weather will settle a bit as it's pretty blowy out there at the moment:

http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/HOBBI...eaarrayNum=177

Fingers crossed we get out. To everyone who is on the trip, last time we had a biggest fish comp (I think Lenny Pike won it and duly spent his winnings on the first round in the bar)........ I thought you might fancy something a little different this time. I was fishing on Meridian Express a few weeks ago and we had a species hunt - the rules were simple:

1) Everyone throws in a fiver (who wants to enter)
2) Whoever catches the most species wins
3) In the event of a tie there is a countback on number of fish caught (up to 10 per species)
4) If it's still a tie the pot is split

I bring this up because it made the trip a little more interesting and made everyone fish better - this will be especially good for John Marshall because he never bothers to fish much, unless he's in a competition against me!

Anyway, just a suggestion for the trip - I know that John Marshall will be up for it, I reckon Imran will fancy his chances, Ben fishes hard anyway so it won't make any difference to him (but the pot would come in handy for a new gadget ). Not too sure who else is on the trip, so let us know what you think.

Cheers

AG

Re: Saturday 1st October - Jo-Dan Boat Trip

Hi Andy,

Count me out.

As you know I refuse to fish with weights above 20ozs, complete waste of time.

I dont mind a competition for "Best fish of the day" etc. but not for most fish caught.

Cheers

Drew

Hi Ben,

As long as the dates are in my diary I never forget.

Do you know any other dates?

Don't think we'll be going on weights over 20oz on Saturday

It's not for most fish caught, it's for most different species with a count back on the number of fish caught if it's a tie.

Anyway, I was just suggesting something different from last time and of course if anybody doesn't want to play there's no problems. Just thought it would be a bit of fun.
