| JoDan Report well the day started early for al of us i think, i was up at 5.30 to finish off getting ready and make sure i wasnt late, at about 6.45 John (friend of john's) picked me up and we were on the way we were on the water by 8 and were soon on the 1st mackel mark, not a sausage though! next mark and i was 1st in on the action, 1 mackerel which felll off lifting it onto the boat, next fish was for me as well, managed to get this 1 aboard though every1 soon started catching mackerel and a large number of scad off to the 1st mark of the competition it was very slow going and big leads were needed, i was using 1 1/2lb of lead for most of it, the 1st fish went to john (johns friend) and as john was landing it other john was in on the action to john (johns friends) fish turned out to be a nice thornie and johns was a nice little tope, things were picking up i thought tthings stayed slow all morning really, afew more tope were taken and i managed 1 scad and to miss a tope biggest tope was by paul (downsouth) we moved at around lunch time to somewhere where the tide wasnt so strong, the little fish were about after quite afew nasty tangles we were fishing, bream, mackerel, scad and dogies were the species being taken on board i managed 1 more scad, 3 or 4 bream and 4 mackerel 2nice size bream were caught, 1 by imran and the other by richard (photo to come i think) the smutmeister strikes again , i managed to catch the only smoothound of the day on a size 4 hook and single rag worm, it was only a small fish of about 2 1/2lb and unfortunatly fell off at the side of the boat so doesnt count for the compso here is the bit you are all waiting for, the scores, it was a very close run event and the feeling among the boat was that i had won it well 1st place goes to ................................JOHN MARSHALL with 80points2nd place goes to me with 75points and 3rd place goes to andy (ex-champ) with 70points not sure about the other points but i think its fair to say every1 else enjoyed the day even though the fishing wasnt amazing a big thanks to john for organising the trip again, great job!! 2 __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's |

| Re: JoDan Report Great write up ben and a massive thank you to John M for the trip plus getting the bait for the day Cheers John Well everything on the trip has been covered I had a great fry up in the cafe to start the day (full english) for £4.50 which I will recomend any day well done cafe The boat is brill and a wonderful ride with loads of room THe fishing was hard but being right up the top of the boat with carlton I had great company if not fish . Shame the skipper spent most of the day asleep as we might have got somemore fish ( do not think he will be getting my money again - sorry got to say it )It was great to meet everyone again and the gentle p=== take kept things alive . Andyg almost won until a check of the score sheet noticed some strange points under andys name which made me LMAO Once again thanks for a great day John and to everyone for a great day out __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports Last edited by andyg; 08-01-2005 at 05:57 PM. |

| Thanks John. Enjoyed the day, well organised and well put together mate. I would like to fish with you again sometime. I hope everyone got home safely. Ive about recovered now, after getting up at 5 for work. As usual, fun and laughter, abit of mickey taking most of it at AndyG's hangover. And some of that dodgy fishing for points, aint that right Richard lol. At least someone had a good kip, aye skipper. He seemed to loose intrest in the afternoon. Which is a shame really. Surely he could have managed to move more than twice all day lol. Paul, (Downsouth) hope you recovered from your sea sickness. Nice to have met everyone. And a big Thankyou. We will have to do it again. __________________ Cheers. .Carlton. Tight lines everyone. |

| Re: JoDan Report Hi Folks, The best part of the day was meeting up with the lads and renewing old friendships. Second best was the breakfast in the cafe. Fishing was poor due to wind against tide and the skipper sleeping for half of the time. I personally refuse to fish with weights over 20 ozs., With two pounds the order for most of the day, I spent the morning chatting to the lads and assisting Fred in trying to bring up the heaviest fish of the day!!!!! (The Anchor). As usual I thoroughly enjoyed the days outing despite the conditions and have put my name down for the next trip. Thank you John, without your organizing skills this event would not have taken place. Will put in an order for some more Bhajis for our next outing, When is it? (I'm not back until September 1st) Cheers Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club |
