i certainly cant wait, lets hope its better than the last trip
do you think there is enough space on the boat for me to try some uptiding with my new and improved pendulum casting? lol
only joking, i think alot of people would end up in hospital if i tried
who is coming on the trip?

Hi Richard,

Although you are calling it the "Gosport" Jo Dan trip, can I assume that we will be able to board at the Marina where Jo Dan is berthed instead of Gosport itself? i.e. the one where we pick up Meridian Express

Cheers

Drew

Yes Drew, Richard's a bit patchy when it comes to specifics........

The boat is berthed at whale island harbour, you know the spot, only about 12 miles from Gosport by road.

Re: Gosport Jodan trip 310605

I assume the title should read 310705? as june only has 30 days and has already passed.
I hope you all have a stack of fish. Sorry I won't be with you. I am spending a week on Chessil beach with the grandsons. I expect I will be forced to fish.

Re: Gosport Jodan trip 310605

Hi Chaps,

The boarding place is Fountain Lake Fishing Club which can be found at the end of the motorway into Portsmouth, follow signs from M27/A27 for "ferry port", take last exit off roundabout, turn first right (25yards) head for Whale Island just before the bridge turn left into car park.

If you miss the car park, the guy with the gun will re-direct you, I'm not
joking, you've just entered MoD land.

Meet up will be 7am in the car park, please don't be late.

More to come,

John

Re: Gosport Jodan trip 310605

Hi Chaps,

I've pm-ed all who haven't yet paid, bait will be somewhere around £8 a head
payable on the day.

The rules,
Anglers will draw for fishing spot on boat, 1 being stbd side next to the wheelhouse.

Only one rod to be made up with trace, a second rod maybe ready with no trace attached.

Two hooks only to be fished.

All fish will count on points. 5 only of doggies, pout, macci.

A full list of fish and value will be given to each angler on the day.

So lets get out there and have some fun.

John
