netting

hi all
was out fishing on me boat near gillingham (river medway) anyway i noticed that a trawler was netting for fish very near gillingham marina..i wondered if they are allowed to net in this area?

The trawler came from rochester but did not know who to contact for info

cheers for the info...i know the name of the boat...but `im not going to put it on this forum......


i know they have a job to do but well fishing all around the coast is bang in trouble and made worse by these netters who insist in comeing into place where they should not be...
