Shock-ing Leaders?

Would you use a shockleader for Uptideing if your rod had 25lb Ironsilk as a main line or do you recon i could get away without one.The less knots the better as far as i,m concerned. :confused.

Re: Shock-ing Leaders?

Hi Bobby Buoy,

With 25lb line on you should get away without one, that is if you dont blast your lead into the horizon.

Cheers

Re: Shock-ing Leaders?

Thanks alot, not done much uptideing before.Just need to get a few things straight in my head first.what about the fish damage on the line if it roll's over it.Would it be better to land the fish at the side of the boat with heavier line?
