Skerries Plaice rig

Just got a bit bored and decided to show you guys the plan of attack on the forum meet.

Termainal end tackle for the day.The image is a little over exposed but the colours of the beads are orange and yellow with a small metal hammered spoon attractor and a double rattler.I was contemplating adding another hook length half way up the trace but to be honest I dont think its needed.
Hope this might help for some of you guys who are not sure about end tackle.

regards nige.

Re: Skerries Plaice rig

Not much point in using this rig from the beach as you need the tide to move the spoon and the rattler. Take these 2 componants off and its a different kettle of fish (excuse the pun)
Just one more thing ...the rig line is 35lb. Too heavy I here some of you say, well I've done a bit on the Skerries and I personally find it works best for me.15lb line dosent last the distance, after being dragged across the bottom a few times it soon wears out and becomes unreliable.
Shingle, course sand, pebbles, rocks and WRECKS all eat away ever second the line is in contact with the sea bed, which, if your traces are working efficiently will be alot of the time.
