Half a dozen max. I've never lost a rig on the Skerries.

Re: Plaice Meet Update. Dartmouth 4th May.

Thanks Kiwi. I'm travelling down from home so I'll meet you all on the Kingswear side. Any idea what the parking cost is there as I'll obviously need a stack of change ready.

Re: Plaice Meet Update. Dartmouth 4th May.

For the parking cost if you get there early enough its free. Just leave a note in the window stating that you are fishing. Depending on what time and weather conditions when you get back to port the man in the hut has usally gone!!!

P.S. Ive just got my new 5 million mega pixel digi cam so i think it will be an excuse to give it a try!!lets all hope for and no

Re: Plaice Meet Update. Dartmouth 4th May.

I've just been watching an old video of Liam Dale and Dave Lewis fishing the Skerries.
Most of the anglers were using 2 hook rigs, another thing I noticed was when the tide picked up they fished at anchor cos the drift was too fast.
We need to know if we are going to do this type of fishing as we need to change tackle and tactics if this is the case.
Would it be possible to find out cos I was only planning on taking Light gear.
If we are going to anchor then uptide tactics will be the choice I would go for.
Dont really want to be sat on the boat not fishing waiting for the tide to slacken off.

Anybody any ideas?

Re: Plaice Meet Update. Dartmouth 4th May.

well the only idea i have is its going to be neap tides so im guessing that we shouldnt have to much problems with tide.
