Smile Re: All new to me

Guys think i will go with the penn rods they compliment the size of the reels (think i bought to big ) anyway whats done is done next big move is to fill these monsters so next question is braid or mono the tigara 30 takes close on 1000 yds of 80lb braid acording to the box rember this ones for halabut conger etc the "little"16 takes 500 of 20lb mono so will most likly take about 900 of braid same braking strain, oop's lots of tom here! this braid direct what is it like?? the braid that is! sounds to good to be true? is good old maxima still around? it had great abrasion resistance (not much else) whats the latest and greatest when comes to salt water? i hear and read storys of a coated braid? kevlar braid for sea fishing. i'm not a tackle tart but want to get it right first time don't have lotsa tom but will try to buy right first time.

Sharks there is good news and bad news. you will never see the one that bites you (bad news ) good news it only hurts if you survive!!!!!
