Boat Fishing Shoreham. 3rd sept'11

The forecast for yesterday on three different websites, were all telling different stories on wind direction and strengths, several times in the past I have cancelled the days fishing due to unreliability of such forecasts, only to go past the Sea hours later to see a flat calm sea!
It was decided to go forth...throw caution to the wind and test out the theory that things were going to blow up midday day, they didn't and a good day was had!


Midday past, erring on the side of caution staying inshore didn't produce much of interest and a strong concentration of massive clumps of spaghetti type weed ruled out some inshore trolling.
We ventured out further and found a few fish, Nice gurnard, which we returned to fight another day.

My Son had a few nice doggys.....

It was clearly evident alot of people had cancelled their trips this weekend, hardly any leisure fishing boats on the Sea. Tight lines all!
