Boat Trip next week

I am going out with Lee on Chara from Penarth Thursday and Friday next week can anybody tell me if it will still be fishable with a 22/23knot ssouth westerly or westerly wind as am not familiar with the area.

Pure Westerly and you`ll be ok off Penarth,tucked in close , SW and it will be like a washing machine .. ,take Lees advice on if you go or not ,and to be honest the weather man cant get tommorow`s weather right ,so have no chance that long away ..I ran a charter boat out of Penarth for many years ,and know not to trust the forecast 100 %

Thanks MrG just noticed it was on BBC website as likely to be wsw about 20knots for weds and hoping it drops further they are normally pretty good lately Can't wait to get stuck in to some decent Rays and hounds....hopefully

Mick heaven forbid the weather does prevent us from getting out can you recomend any shore spots that will provide us with some sport as I think I will bring my shore gear just in case especially as we are travelling 300 odd miles!!

If its big westerly ,the ranny at Penarth is fishable ,and the tides are small so will be ok ....South westerly ,makes most places unfishable really , unless you travel west .

Thanks so much Mick wouldn't mind searching for flonders or anything else decent so the trip is not completely wasted

Try Cardiff barrage for flounder , easy fishing not snaggy ,parking 100yds away , Ranny is a long walk ,rough and snaggy
