| Swansea Boat Trip Managed my first British boat trip in 6 years today (11/4/11), the aim of the trip was spurdogs, but with no spurs showing it was a bit dissapointing, but a few fish were caught all dogfish when out on the skarweather, with the wind increasing and the boat turning into the wind the decission was made to move back into Swansea Bay and try for some flatties but again it was straight into the dogs, eventually 1 dab was caught, all in all not the best fishing trip I have ever been on but I guess you have to have a few bad trips so you can appreciate the good trips more. __________________ 20 years of marine biology can't be wrong but apparently it is |

It's a bit early yet, but someone has to go out there and report back, well done that man. And you caught a dogie a fish that some think has no fighting prowess, I however beg to differ. I know doggies just lie there and let you pull them in, but once in the boat the fight starts. You swing them in, grab them behind the head, they then wrap their sand paper body around your arm removing copious quantities of skin, which will be sore for over a week. And as you turn their head to face you to remove the hook, they poo all down the front of what ever your wearing leaving it stained for good and all. This is a fish with no fighting qualities, not in my book. cheers Cliff.![]() __________________ BLESSED IS HE WHO EXPECTS NOTHING FOR HE SHALL NOT BE DISAPPIONTED. |
