Boat fishing trip south England

Hi all, I am a student studying in Southampton and hoping to join a boat fishing trip in South England during the Easter holiday but I dont really where to start. I have been fishing for a few years at different places and I have also tried different boat fishing trips in Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Could anyone suggest me what equipment to use and how to find a good captain? my budget for the trip is around 40-60 GBP and I am happy to travel to Brighton or Portsmouth. Thank you very much!

My personal suggestion for a good skipper in your area would be Steve Porter or Malcom Collins from Poole there on True Blue and I think On a Mission, I dont know much about the other two ports you mentioned but I am sure there are people who will point you in the right direction.

If i was you i would look closer to home and book a trip from Lymington to fish the isle of white grounds and solent marks ... pm me if you need any more info
Wrecking for big pollack and cod offshore will cost you 55-60 quid .. inshore for mixed fishing will cost you 30-40 .
