Re: portland

Normally I would say you were at least 2 weeks too early, but not this year.

I have never known the Plaice to be in so early, though to be honest most of them are fairly small ones.
The Plaice are well in on Chesil and the according to the guys in Weymouth Angling Centre, they are on the Shambles as well.

Good luck tomorrow. Who are you going out with?

Portland Pirate.

Re: portland

Hi Portland pirate ,we had a long day out there yestreday with plenty of slow drifts across the shambles but struggled for bites,we went off the back of the bank in the end in the deeper water and caught doggies,I got a boat down in Portland a bit similar to the photos of your old one without the top over the seating which Im looking to get one fitted if you know who makes them.we will be down to give it another go next week hopefully this time it wont be a waste of some good ragworm
