| The usual suspects + a Summer species  We chased the rain down the M20 and thankfully they got the forecast right for once as it was dry by the time we got to Folkestone. Had a Full English in the Cafe and proceeded to the boat which made its way to a bit of Rough Ground out from Samphire Hoe where we fished for most of the ebb tide. First cast on the uptider resulted in this: L.S.D.  Then I had this on the bottom rod: Whiting  As the expected Rays hadn't shown by the time the tide had eased we moved to another mark of Folkestone where I this on the Mini rig (size14 hooks): Pout  I then had the Summer species on the uptider baited with 3 whole Squid: Common Smoothound  At slack water I had this on a bunch of worms(Rag and Blacks): Cod      |
