| Tuna and Baracuda off gran canaria Well just got back from gran canaria,a much needed holiday with the wife.the weather was an average 29 degrees  ,anyway after spending most the week by the pool getting tanned and drunk i decided on saturday to go out on bluemarlin3, we went out about half a mile for a mad half hour catching boogas for live bait. We then went out 4 miles looking for tuna, after what seemed like no more than 10 minutes i had a run on my rod and after what seemed an age (and do those tuna give a seriuos fight) i pulled in my first tuna so after a bit of jigging around and patting myself on the back it was time to put out another live bait, while waiting for a run i decided to put out a bait for something smaller,then taptap and up popped a real nice striped black bream of a couple of pound,then no sooner i got that one in my other rods reel was screaming like a banshee on heat after a great fight lasting 15 minutes i pulled out a cracking baracuda  the rest of the trip was busy with more tuna and baracuda, and would have had a kingfish if i didnt lose it  well that was my day out in the atlantic off gran canaria, hot , great fishing , great skipper and crew of the blue marlin 3............  __________________ http://www.ivejustgonefishing.com     |

| Re: Tuna and Baracuda off gran canaria for anyone interested and who may be going to gran canaria this year the marlin season starts around may and man do they give some outstanding sport, blue marlin 3 out of puerto rico is a great boat and english crew. prices are reasonable at 60 euros for 6 hours. hope this helps......... bill __________________ http://www.ivejustgonefishing.com |
