Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

Hi Tommy,
Just spent the day down at Teignmouth and Nimue is still attached to mooring, also bought tide table! (and more lures...only got about 2000 so was running low!)

OK Trips planned!!!! YEAH fishing again!!!!

1st trip...Friday 4th march. Tide 11.20am. 3.8m. Will be on the water for 9.15am and moor up at 13.30 latest. Funny time of year so will be going back to the Orestone off Torbay and maybe on to Rock islands off Berry Head. Inshore wrecks don't seem to hold much this time of year, like Boma etc 9 miles out. Will be bait fishing with squid and maccy anchored up. Lots of conger about but also rays, plaice, chance of bass, cod and huss. You will need spare anchor as its quite rough ground but they're cheap enough. Hope you can make it.

9th March.Wednesday. 5.55pm. 4.7m.
Not sure about this one....when will it be dark? Good tide though.

17th March. Thursday. 10.05am. 3.9m.
Another small tide but out at 8am and moored at 12ish.

July this year the tides are looking great and it's my favourite month. Just hope we don't have anymore motor problems ..

Cheers Jules.

Any of you Forum chaps sneak in and look at this.....you will be contacted in good time to come out for a trip....honest

Re: Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

Jules,

March is unfortunately a dodgy month for me - having had the whole of Jan off I cant take hols again til April !!

However Im looking at a trip to the Skerries in the next month - either trailing to Dartmouth or motoring round - have you any idea how far that is ? Going to see if we cant get some plaice !! Will be a full day session if motoring round - leave early and come back on the incoming tide later in the day - will PM you details mate.

Ill have a look at the other dates and get back to you and give you some others for May, June & July.

Im down to Exmouth next week with the van opening in Sandy Bay cannot wait to be out there again.

Cheers mate

Tommy

Re: Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

No probs Tommy,

I've worked out most of the days I can go out till July! I'll post them up when I remember to bring tide table home.

Skerries are off Dartmouth/salcombe aren't they? I can do Berry Head in 40 minutes from Teignmouth, so probably best for you to trail nearer.

Just aquired my 28th rod, an uglystick spincast with a little baitcast multiplier, very pretty can't wait to use it!......and a fish smoker.
Can't wait to get out again and put some space between me and land.

Cheers, Jules

28 - great going! Presumeably a certain person has 29 or more pairs of shoes?

which smoker? and, if it's not rude to ask, why that one?

Re: Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

Duncan,

More shoes than you can imagine!!!...and a new car last year. Don't care as long as I can go out when i want.

The smoker is a Shakespeare...got it only cos the people I bought the latest rod from had it on special at 25 quid. Having recieved it I think it may be a mistake...will only smoke 12ozs at a time in 20 mins. On a good day I catch a lot of fish....maybe need a smoke house...love smoked anything...but especially fish.Wiil keep you informed as to how I get on with it. UUmmm maybe a smoke....

Cheers,Jules

Re: Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

I don't need to imagine large numbers of shoes - just open the 'other' wardrobe door or just about any door in the house really!

Had to do the new car bit when I got the new boat a few years back - bad timing really 'cos the new mini was just being 'launched' when I took delivery of the boat!

Re: Tommy. Fishing dates. Weather permitting.

Oh dear Duncan I do sympathise.

Fishing is so expensive when married.

But worth every penny........or underwater video camera!!!!

Oh boy this is gonna be one exciting year, may not fish too much, just gonna watch the cctv!!!

First trip next friday got the new kit here next to me (she hasn't spotted it yet) like a schoolboy at the moment ....can't wait>>>>

Cheers, Jules.
