Filleting fish

Can anyone point me in the direction of any good websites that can show/ teach me how to fillet the more common fish?

I would like to be able to gut/fillet the bigger fish (when I catch them...) with a view to not having to make a significant mess in the kitchen at home and the subsequent half hour of flushing the waste down the loo so the bins dont go high and not getting it right and blocking the loo etc - I am sure some of you have been there :-).

I caught two decent cod yesterday on a very cold day out. They were not monsters but legal and edible and the resultant mess at home and badly butchered fillets are making me think there must be a better way.

Any sites / tips and ideas appreciated. (Or even ways of processing in the kitchen without the better half complaining for weeks after about scales in the coffee cups...

Happy New Year to everyone too.

William

Re: Filleting fish

Thanks guys much appreciated. I have watched them and a couple of others on the web. I tried on a 10lb fish this evening (fishmongers!.... not me :-( ) but the result looked more like prep for a fish soup than covering in breadcrumbs! More akin to what the police sometimes call a frenzied attack....

Will try again next week but I can see this is going to be lot of practice required too!
