Boat fishing today, 20.11.10

What looked to be a total disasterious day turned good in the end, Wind was absolutely horrendous and much against it, I was talked into taking the wee lad with me, got to the mark about 0750hrs, Son started ground baiting, so imediately turned back and dropped young son off to Mum, Second attempt got to mark probably just before high, no good! Had a couple of Whiting then went dead quiet...had to move back on the mark about 7 times as the tide was so strong the Anchor wasn't holding bottom, thought the day was well and truly cursed when Captain chaos truly lived up to his name...the last move back to the mark I forgot to wind in my feathers and managed to wrap them round the prop, so had to detangle the prop, into the bargin also had a good head dunking whilst doing so, (amateur!!!).
I soldiered on determined to catch a decent fish, had a few more whiting and a nice Gurnard, 3 hours after high and a Easterly wind making life very uncomfortable, I was rewarded with my patience, A very tough day!

Re: Boat fishing today, 20.11.10

Cheers Guys,, yes I was a bit saddened to see him get so ill, but he's still up for it, it hasn,t put him off, when I got Home he was pleased to see me with another Fish, he certainly likes the taste!.
I did pre warn him it would be a rough old day out there, perhaps I should have kept my gob shut?
But maybe its convinced him now, that maybe when I say its gonna be nasty he'll believe me, its not the fact I don't want him along, its for his own well being.(I really don't want him to be put off).
Well I,m gonna take a mate out with me Wednesday to have a crack at the Cod, got the Day off, so wish me Tight Lines!
