black bream rod

Hi,
I have booked to fish from Littlehampton. It would be reef fishing for black breams. Could you advise me on the type of fishing rod I should use. I have rods for wreck fishing which might not be suitable.

Don't know about everyone else but the lighter the better for me, sometimes to light:-)
I use a 6-12lb ugly stick off my yak.

Re: black bream rod

Deffo light - i have even used a fly rod on the boat but normally stick to a 12/20lb uptider incase summit bigger comes a long ! Had bream over 4lb and they go like rockets and bend the hooks back to almost straight !
