important warning for all boat owners

just a warning to everyone in a effort to save you from haveing to fork out a lot of money

this last 2 weeks i have had countless boats over heating at work and 2 of them have done head gaskets in the process and another melted the exhust system.

the is a hell of a lot of blanket weed around in the solent and the engines are picking it up and blocking the water flow to cool the engines.
i know most people on hear wont be silly enough to just plough though it but be very aware its around and be very carfull at nite.

cheers john

Cheers JOhn good advice - dont suppose it can block up the unit that scans the bottom - our Raymarine recently failed with No Signal being displayed - according to the book its a loose wire but strange to happen out of the blue !!!

Hi John,do you know of a boat called 'Hastie 2'? She is a charter boat from the Solent (Hayling Island).I have been making enquiries about buying this boat but been told she has overheated and done the engine. An Insurance claim is going through.Any info you could give me on this boat would be appreciated.Feel free to use the pm system if you feel better doing it this way.
