Racing Yacht works OK!

Out in my mates 30' racing yacht today ('Gypsy Girl')
Lined up with the 1/2 doz fishing boats about 1/2 mile S of Looe Gate (Selsey).

Slow on the ebb but had fun with some bream on the baitcaster and carp rod. (you had to work hard for them).

Best at 3-12-0 and 3-7-0.

Some wrasse unusually on squid too.

Nice bag of mackerel when we got back to W Pole marker at Chi Harbour.
They were around the 14 metre line before the Chi Bar.

Ada

Strangely, the mackies are here before the bream...

but bream are now showing at Pagham Beach and all the regular beach/boat marks.

Had a go at Pagham twice this past week. On the first trip I caught 6 very small hounds , a dogfish , two schoolies and a rockling. Went last night as well trying for a bream with squid and crab , had 3 fish in 3 chucks , a rockling, then a 1lb 7oz black bream then this took my crab

16lb 9oz. Missed one next chuck and my mate had one of 5lb. Saw a few very small ones caught but not many bream , biggest I saw was 2lb 2oz.
