| Thanks Doug. A trip to Norway is still very much on the cards. Think it will be by Airbus or Boeing though... ![]() __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: Lady Rita's first outing.... A week has passed and I've now recovered sufficiently to be able to contribute my few words to Ian's rather splendid report. A couple of days before the eventful trip, Ian took me on a tour of his fine vessel and we changed the trailer's wheels, did a bit of tinkering and made sure everything was ready for the launch. At this stage, I presumed the stabilisers would protrude automatically from the hull once we were afloat, so didn't bother to check with Ian. (I think Ian asked me along for the pre-flight check just in case I spotted any potential 'issues') Our planning was impeccable. We even went 50/50 on a packet of seasickness pills, and each took enough tackle for a transatlantic crossing. Groundbaiting aside (see earlier posts if you must), we had a great if exhausting day out and particular thanks to Matt and Sean for their help. Sorry to have spoilt it for my fellow seafarers with my hanging-over-the-side antics, though at least we had a chance to try everything out. Everything worked perfectly except the pills. Finally, if you want to catch some decent sand eels, I recommend a purée of doughnut, chicken sandwich, stomach acid and bile. It works a treat! ![]() |
