Re: new member

Hi Alain, we've been down to Luce four times since May. We usually go for weekends, the last time was about a month ago when we launched at port logan, not a single Tope between us that day, not many Mackrel either but plenty of hounds and also an abundance of Gurnard that day.
We were also at Sharkatag for the weekend, that was actually the first time i had fished for Tope so i did'nt know quite what to expect, the Saturday was very disapointing caught a few small smoothies but not much else, i kept hearing other guys on the radio saying that they'd caught 30 and 40lb ers.
The sunday was a bit better caught one 10lb er and a couple of smaller ones, the brother inlaw lost a nice one right at the side of the boat roughly four foot in length (man he was gutted).
In the afternoon we had run of Bullhuss a few into double figures, strangely enough also caught a small red cod which i did'nt expect.
The brother inlaws booked up for a trip to Crinan i think it's the week after you, i'm not able to make that weekend. I,m sure he said it was on yer marks.
The link to the Whitby anglers was very interesting, it's a bit of a goal of mine to land an 18lb plus cod from the shore. I'm looking forward to doing a bit of shore fishing again, i think your right we might have to give your neck of the woods a try, looks great. Do you do any shore fishing? because if you do i think we might at some point be down your way after reading some of those reports, it would be nice to have some local knowledge and also good to meet up with a fellow addict.
Did you know that there is a Tagathon at loch sunart in November? werte going along weather permiting.
All the best Gerry (gestir).

Re: new member

Hi Alain, that sounds great, that's the beauty of having the boat on a trailer you can go anywhere. I,ll look forward to sorting something out soon. Were off to Arbroath Friday night for a few hours, i've read a few reports aparently there's been a few good fish landed. Your welcome along if you fancy it, we'll be fishing from the pier. First trip up there this season. Were also planing doing an over nighter on loch Etive in the next few weeks, again if your up for it just let me know and we'll be happy to meet up. Tight lines my friend, Gerry.
