Thumbs up Re: Mackeral already!

Ignore it you say why? this is serious stuff, to actually get some fish around our neck of the woods. I know they wont make the Mersey, what does these days. But Anglesey is close enough, just think hordes of marauding mackerel and I will be there in Anglesey with my caravan and boat and fish smoker, all I need then is some good weather, (that could be a problem), pure bliss, and you say ignore it. I shall now go and get ready, first job get out the mackerel feathers and give them a good ironing. Must have iron on a lower temp this time, too hot last time and the feathers all shriveled up. Had to replace them, it took ages chasing the budgie around the house to get some. Wonder if he's grown some new one's, just in case of accidents you understand. Well have to go now fish on their way lots to do, any body seen the budgie.

Re: Mackeral already!

Having spoken to a few people reguarding mackerel latley it seems they are off south cornwall, Lundy Island and a few miles off west wales it usually takes about a month for some of the shoals to move up through the welsh side of the Irish sea, if you look out for mackerel caught out of Aberystwyth it then is usually only days to be off Dinas Dinall and traddur bay (spelling is probably wrong)
