| poor day,s fishing well, saturday got to mark, 6 miles off shore, informed by a netsman when going out of lock that the cod are still inshore, obviously from todays fishing not this shore! When anchored up for about 15mins and fishing, first bite, whats this then, very heavy, lovely, got my tea, a lovely plaice, fished on then had a few small whiting and then died of death, over high water now and not a bite. Perservered for another hour and half in the hope it would pickup again, no joy....moved further out to a rocky mark, still no joy, i decided to make a move in shore to mussel ground, still dead. Decided to call it a day, noticed several sports fisherman coming in, after discussion with everyone in the lock, it looked like i was the only one who had tea.......it certainly wasn,t big another to share around with 10 other fisherman! Bring on the summer! ![]() |
