which chartplotter

Hi I have just bought a linder 400 13ft aluminium boat. I intend to fish the Mersey and north wales especially around Anglesey. On fitting out the boat I want to buy a chart plotter but don't now which one has the best charts and features for inshore use. I have looked at garmin and others that use
c-maps like the cobra (nice price) any help to choose the right one will be much appreciated. Cliff.

Re: which chartplotter

Hi Cliff

Have look on my web site which might help. www.fishing-boats.info

The Cobra is the the Navman under a differant name.

Garmin have a good back up should you need it.

Dave

Re: which chartplotter

Hi dave i took a look at your site and found a lot there to interest me. But i think the question i realy would like the answer to is which map system is best for inshore fishing. Maybe its not a question that can be answered, it may come down to personal preferance. It will be a couple of weeks before i can buy one so i shall read as much as i can and then make my mind up. What a pity you can't try one for a week or two before you buy. Many thanks cliff.
